In 2004 I was co-founder of one of the biggest and the most important Polish conferences about databases and data analysis. For many years (2004-2013) its name was "Bazy Danych Aplikacje i Systemy" and it was organized only for Polish scientists. In 2014 we decided to go international and now it is the "Beyond Databases Architectures and Structures" conference. Note that the abbrevation did not change, and it it is still the BDAS Conference. We printed the proceedings in Springer CCIS Series and the conference was indexed in the Web of Science.
Since 2014 the BDAS Conference was also technically sponsored by IEEE.
Unfortunately, due to a change in the rules for scoring publications by the Polish Ministry of Higher Education (based on the Australian CORE index(?!)), the BDAS conference has ended its long-standing existence.
For many years we are also organizing the Eye Movement Data Processing and Analysis Session during the International KES Conference. The aim of the session is to summarize the current state of the art in the eye movement data analysis and enable prospective researchers to present their new ideas concerning this subject.
